The Florida Sports Foundation, Palm Beach County Sports Commission, and the City of West Palm Beach are hosting a major event in downtown West Palm Beach to promote Major League Baseball. There will be VIP attending including Florida Governor Rick Scott, Palm Beach County Mayor Priscilla Taylor, WPB Mayor Jeri Muoio, County and City Commissioners, MLB baseball players, and representatives from the 15 MLB teams that have spring training in Florida.

The main attraction will surely be the four Phipps Park baseball teams that will play exhibition games in celebration of the events. We hope that you are able to join in this special community event, that Phipps Park will take part in. Come cheer the kids as they help celebrate MLB Spring Training in West Palm Beach.

Phipps Park will embark onto its 63rd baseball year, with the opening of its Spring 2015 season. This is a special moment that your child will not want to miss, as well as the entire family and friends. Players are needed to report at 8:15am, so that all we can assemble for the start of the ceremonies at 9:00am. We ask that you arrive early, so that you can take advantage of parking. We welcome many of our sponsors that will be in attendance to meet and greet many of us at our special event.

The Honorable WPB Mayor Jeri Muoio, Honorable WPB District 5 City Commissioner Shanon Materio and other dignitaries will be in attendance. Now, all we need is your child to be part of the Phipps Park Baseball tradition every spring opening as they parade, “Step on Home Plate”. This marks the beginning of each and every spring season at Phipps Park.
